Hello Beauty Lovers

October 25th, 2010

I have been toying with starting a blog for a while now, and actually created this site a few months ago, promising myself I would start it tomorrow (Like everything else I want to do). Tomorrow is finally here and I can’t wait to share my love of all beauty products with you as well as any other random thoughts about my life.

First off, my name is Rachel and I live in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. I was introduced to makeup from a Cosmopolitan Magazine I purchased without my mother’s consent when I was about 11. From then on I was hooked all things beauty, fashion and glamour. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and currently work in the very unglamorous world of finance (haha).

I’d like to thank Sasha Jones with all of her encouragement and motivation from her own blog LAInspiration.com (GO THERE) and Nick Miller for helping me with loads of technical support.

Now that those things are out of the way, I’d like to end my first post with my Top 5 Beauty Favorites. Sometimes I do stray from these products to try new ones, but I know I can always come back to them and they never let me down.

  1. L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black. Makes my long lashes extremely thick and visible without costing an arm and a leg!
  2. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. Nothing makes my face look as flawless as this.
  3. Makeup For Ever Lift Concealer. Blends amazingly and promises to have an ingredient to firm the eye area and can be used to highlight other areas of the face.
  4. Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Make Up Remover. After suffering from acne when I was younger and using every product to help that I found this gentle but effective product. My skin looks great and isn’t extremely dry anymore from using harsh products.
  5. Urban Decay The Nakeds Palette. 12 completely wearable shades in a sturdy package for travel. It also came with their 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner Black/Brown   as well as Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Shades for everyday that can be easily blended and added to for night.

Now that you know my top 5, what’s yours?
